SUMMARY:Trauma-Informed Care
DESCRIPTION:This program is designed for Ferguson-Florissant School District teachers and staff. It will outline the way youth respond emotionally\, cognitively\, and behaviorally to overwhelming emotions. When we understand what changes happen in the brain and body when we become emotionally overwhelmed\, we can learn to self-correct in the moment. The training will demonstrate that behaviors are purposeful and a biological hardwiring for survival that cannot necessarily be changed but managed and fine-tuned. \nWe also will discuss how abuse\, neglect\, and household dysfunction change our worldview and impact our ability to be rational and use reason\, logic\, morality\, and regulate our thoughts and emotions. We will provide practical tips and resources to help individuals learn to self-correct as well as how to regulate the environment while teaching others to self-correct. \nIf you are interested in a similar training for your organization\, please email us at resources@bhrworldwide.com. \n

SUMMARY:Trauma-Informed Care/Responding to Student Trauma
DESCRIPTION:This program is a private mental health training for STEAM Academy (McCleur South-Berkely) and McCleur High School \nThe mental health training outlines the way youth respond emotionally\, cognitively\, and behaviorally to overwhelming emotions.
